Discovering Helena

Helena Montana is ideally situate between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier national Park. It  boasts beautiful, breathtaking views of the Montana Rocky Mountain foothills, pristine wilderness and beautiful lakes and rivers.  At the edge of the city of Helena, lies Spring Meadow lake, a 20-acre recreation area.  Helena also offers more than 25 city parks including the new giant Mount Helena Park located just a few minutes from the downtown area. Residents and visitors enjoy two public golf courses and one private course.  There is also Lake Helena, Canyon Ferry Lake, Holter and Hauser lake for endless fishing and boating opportunities.

The heart of Helena is Last Chance Gulch, the historic district with a rich gold mining part. The new Great Northern Town Center is a new master-planned, multi-use business and residential development.  Helena is host to more than 300 special events annually including music festivals, parades, sports tournaments and theatrical performances.
