Hauser Lake is located just 15 miles north of Helena.  The Hauser dam creates this 3,200 acre reservoir on the Missouri Rive.  The lake offers endless water recreational opportunities such as boating, fishing, water skiing, ice fishing and ice skating.  There is also plenty of camping on the lake at the two scenic campgrounds that are provided; White Sandy State Park and Black Sandy State Park.  Families can picnic and view wildlife.  The lake also offers a boat launch and a store to pick up conveniences. The lake is stocked with Kokanee Salmon, rainbow trout, brown trout, walleye and perch.
