Helena makes it easy for residents and visitors to take advantage of this wonderful public transportation system. The Helena Area Transit service (HATS) is a division of the Helena Public Works. HATS is in operation from Monday through Friday and offers a Checkpoint bus, a trolley bus, an East Valley bus and a Curb-to-Curb bus.
The Checkpoint Bus is on a set schedule and makes approximately 18 stops. This bus runs every hour starting at 7am and runs till 5pm.
The Trolley Bus is also on a set route, it runs every 30 minutes and has ten stops Its hours of operation are 11am till 6pm
The East valley Bus is a curb-to-curb bus that caters to the East valley, Eastgate and East Helena. This bus service operates from 7am to 6 pm.
The Curb-to-Curb bus runs every hour and every half hour starting at 6:30am and its last stop is at 5:30pm.
