St. Peter’s Urgent Care to open in Helena Montana

St. Peter’s Hospital is opening a new Urgent Care Clinic slated to open Monday, July 14.  The clinic will be located adjacent to the emergency room and will utilize the emergency room’s entrance.  There will be three examination rooms and will be staffed by a combination of nurse practitioners, physical assistants and emergency room doctors.

This new clinic will improve service to Emergency Room patients.  Many people are using emergency doctors as their primary doctor, these people have less serious needs than true emergencies. The Urgent Care Clinic will allow patients whose conditions don’t demand the full emergency room services to be seen quickly without taking resources away from the emergency room. The new clinic will also help relieve pressure on the Helena Urgent Care clinic on Neil Avenue.  The Helena Urgent Care Clinic has see steadily increased need due to the growth in the southeast part of Helena.

The cost for care at the Urgent are Clinic will not be very different than emergency room costs but insurance co-pays may be less. The St. Peter’s Urgent Care will be open from 9am to 9pm everyday.
