The Sweetheart Passion Plunge
Mid-winter dip for a good cause
186 participants jumped into the icy waters of Spring meadow lake in Helena Montana to help support the Special Olympics. This record number of shivering swimmers raised more than $26,000. After their snowy dip participants warmed up in the nearby hot tub. The Sweetheart Passion Plunge also included a costume contest so some of the participants who took the icy plunge included Batman & Robin and a trio of Rockettes among others. Many local officers also jumped into the chilly waters including the Helena Police Chief and the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff.
All participants agreed it was a great time and was for a really good cause.
